PeaceTags are military-style “dog tags” made of sterling silver, each inscribed with words from wise people, like Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr., Maya Angelou, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and more.
PeaceTags was launched in 2007 as a nonprofit, and in 2015, the folks at Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler stepped in to streamline operations and reduce costs. PeaceTags are $89–$149 and support veterans. Net proceeds are donated to nonprofits helping veterans heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. PeaceTags are close to Fredda Goldfarb’s heart. Her father was a veteran who suffered a back injury. This is her way of helping veterans. Also, she believes the tags are visible symbols people can wear to show support for veterans, and also a way to demonstrate freedom of speech through beautiful, wearable art.
