Sip and Savor: Week of Apr. 24

Beer, Brunch, and Burgers, Oh My!

When the Sun is Shining, Head to Kidd Valley

In Western Washington, sunshine is a precious commodity — potentially more so than gold. And now we have even more reason to celebrate when it peeks out behind the clouds. From now until May 12, Kidd Valley is offering free burger upgrades during its Sunshine Burgertime promotion. When the sun is out, guests can order bacon, ham, pineapple, blue cheese, jalapeno, grilled onions, spicy onions, onion straws, or mushrooms on their burgers for free. Just make sure you mention the sun is out!

Kidd Valley also is kicking off the weekend with Friday Fryday, which includes a free order of fries with the purchase of a burger or sandwich.

The Ultimate Staycation for Beer Lovers

If your world orbits around beer, then you’re going to want to check out the third annual Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival from noon to 6 p.m. on April 27 in Kennewick. Twenty-eight craft brewers from across the state are bringing their coveted brews, so you can enjoy them all in one place. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, while supplies last. Admission includes a tasting glass and eight tastes. Additional tasting tokens can be purchased.

Bring on the Brunch

We think the best way to start or end any weekend is with a fabulous brunch, followed by a jaunt around town or a lazy day at home. May we present to you a few of our favorite brunch spots, which include the breakfast sandwich to end all breakfast sandwiches and a whopping cast-iron cinnamon roll.
