Go Red for Women with John Howie Restaurants
For the entire month of February, all John Howie locations will Go Red for Women. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s movement to end heart disease and strokes in women across the country.
While you’re visiting Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar, Beardslee Public House, or John Howie Steak, treat yourself to one of their featured cocktails made from “The Wives Barrel,” a custom bourbon from Maker’s Mark in Kentucky. This bourbon has flavor profiles of caramel popcorn, nutmeg, orange marmalade, cinnamon, vanilla, and French mocha.
This barrel was created by Debbie Howie, wife of chef John Howie, and Shannon Leistiko, wife of Time Lodahl, the general manager at John Howie Steak. Every $1 from the sale of the custom bourbon will be donated to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.

Lake Chelan Wine Valley will be hosting its annual Red Wine & Chocolate festival this weekend and next, if you’re looking for a quick, fun getaway for Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day.
This annual gathering brings people from all over the state to drink locally sourced wines with perfectly paired chocolates. For more information, including participating wineries, click here.
