Sip & Savor: Mother’s Day Dining, a Cooking Class, and a Food Drive

Mother’s Day Dining

Several local restaurants are offering Mother’s Day food specials that are both uniquely celebratory and COVID-conscious. Monsoon, Café Flora, Shiro’s Sushi, Tinte Cellars, and FamilyMeals are among the places participating. Also be sure to check out contributor Denise Sakaki’s recent food-related Mother’s Day gift guide if you’re still struggling with what to get Mom on her special day.

Online Cooking Class

Seattle’s Dash of Soy Culinary School is hosting this Sunday, from 3-4:30 p.m., an online cooking class. Participants will learn how to make scallion pancakes.  Register for the class and find out which ingredients to purchase ahead of time by going here.

Support a Food Drive

The Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank is hosting on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. a food drive in the Issaquah Community Center parking lot. Members of the city’s Youth Advisory Board will be there to help you hand off donations. Find out more about this opportunity here.
