Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with McMenamins
If you’re looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with authentic Irish tunes and brews, then you’re in luck. McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell has a free, all-ages celebration in store for you on both March 14 and 17.
The St. Patrick’s Day Across the Land events feature live music ranging from fun Celtic tunes to a modern pipe band, themed food and drink specials such as an Irish coffee or stew, and a limited-time green stamp for McMenamins Passport holders.
Bring on the Brews at St. Pat’s Parade O’Pints
On March 16 in Ballard’s Brewery District, you will be able to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with all your favorite local breweries. This year, 12 breweries are coming together for St. Pat’s Parade O’Pints: a tour of all the specialty Irish ales in the area.
Participants can hop on the double-decker bus (courtesy Hale’s Ales) running from 2 to 6 p.m. and stop at every one of the five pick-up and drop-off points to make visiting all 12 breweries a breeze. If you’re interested in riding the bus, you will need to purchase a $5 bracelet that can be bought upon boarding or from any of the participating breweries.
All proceeds will support the Seattle Firefighters Pipe & Drums, a band that is dedicated to honoring fallen firefighters.
