Scotch Reception at Daniel’s Broiler

If you’re a scotch enthusiast, be sure to check out the Macallan Scotch Reception at Daniel’s Broiler. The reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the Daniel’s Broiler location in Downtown Seattle (Rickhouse Whiskey Bar).

This event will have scotch tastings and hors d’oeuvres along with Steve Clark of the Edrington Group as a special guest speaker. The reception will start out with cocktails and lead to a tasting of 12-year-old Double Cask, Sherry Oak, a Triple Cask matured 15 years, and a Rare Cask.

Your drinks will be paired with fine cheese and charcuterie. Later on, the guest speaker will provide education on scotch and answer questions. Make sure to RSVP before the event to secure your tickets. The tickets are $165 each.

Seaplane Kitchen & Bar has launched its new online ordering service, On the Fly.

With On the Fly, you can order anything off the full menu for take-out to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Their full menu includes stone hearth pizzas, appetizers that are great for sharing, crispy fried chicken, and much more.

On the Fly even offers some great deals on meals. For $28 you can get eight pieces of fried chicken, a choice of vegetable, and a salad. Or two pizzas and a salad for just $39. The best deal they offer by far is if you add a crowler (a 32-ounce canned beer) or bottle of wine to your order, they are 25 percent off listed price.

Spend Valentine’s Day at Hitchcock

On Friday, Feb. 14, chef Brendan McGill’s flagship restaurant on Bainbridge Island will be hosting an eight-course dinner. The menu is specifically made for Valentine’s Day and will include dry-aged lamb tartare, baywater sweet oysters, coal-roasted spot prawn tails, and much more.

Reservations are $125 a person. For an additional $75 per person, you can add a wine pairing with your meal. Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling 206.201.3789.
