Sip & Savor: Week of May 1

Learn How to Make Vegan Ravioli

On May 3, head over to Salish Lodge & Spa for a ravioli-making class that’s plant based. We should warn you, though: Once you taste fresh-made pasta, you’ll never be able to go back to the packaged variety. Tickets to the event include a bag of ravioli to take home and a crisp glass of Salish Chardonnay or Sparkling Rosé.

Auction of Washington Wines Weekend

Mark your calendars, because the Auction of Washington Wines Weekend in Woodinville is right around the corner. In its 32nd year, the weekend of events takes place August 15-17, and proceeds benefit Seattle Children’s and Washington State University’s Viticulture & Enology research. Events include a winemaker dinner on August 16 and a gala on August 17. Tickets are on sale now, and you won’t want to miss it.

Spring Means Greens

It’s officially grilling season, which means there’s also more access to super fresh vegetables. We pulled this Spring Green Goddess Salad from our archives, because one can never go wrong with a simple, refreshing salad topped with grilled steak, chicken, or shrimp. We’re betting contributor Sarah Adler’s recipe for Green Goddess Dressing will be your new favorite this season.
