Cider Lovers Rejoice!

We’re saying goodby to summer cocktails, and hello to seasonal fall drinks. No, this isn’t another shout out for pumpkin spice lattes. We’re talking about cider. Washington Cider Week is happening right now. An 11-day celebration devoted to all things craft cider. With more than 70 events happening — there’s sure to be something for everyone. For example, enjoy a cider flight poured by Finn River’s cider ambassador Chelsea Anderson at Seaplane Kitchen & Bar on Sep. 13 from 4:30-7 p.m. Check out the event website for more details.

Indulge in Sweet Treats at Salish Lodge & Spa

September just got sweeter. It’s Honey Month at the Salish Lodge & Spa, and they’re going all out. With their very own four-hive honeybee apiary, there’s no shortage of fresh honey-related deals to enjoy. Treat yourself to specials like the Honey Lemon Body Glow at the spa, or the Honey Month Tasting Menu that includes drinks and dishes showcasing honey fresh from the apiary. Have a Coffee with Curtis Stone

Do you remember that show with the handsome Australian-born chef who approached people at the grocery store, looked in their carts, and asked if he could go home with them and make a meal? It was called Take Home Chef — and that chef is Curtis StoneWell, now you can have a coffee with Curtis at his free meet-and-greet, live cooking demo, and cookbook signing on September 19 at Albert Lee Appliance Southcenter.

Raise the Roof

Imagine Housing is hosting a fun-filled night of fundraising at Issaquah’s Pickering Barn on Oct. 2 during their Raise the Roof event. The goal is to raise money for 1,000 affordable homes that will serve 2,400 by 2022. There will be live music, delicious bites, and luscious libations including tastings from local wineries, distilleries, and breweries. Local celebrity Tony Ventrella will join Ally Svenson, co-founder of MOD Pizza as she shares her incredible business story and speaks to the importance of supporting the community. 425 magazine is a proud media sponsor of this event.
