Shake Shack Alert!
Hallelujah! Shake Shack is opening another location, and this time, it’s in Kirkland. The comfort food paradise is opening at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and the first 100 people in line when the doors open will walk away with a custom Shake Shack Yeti cup. Aside from classic Shake Shack favorites, the Kirkland location also will feature two unique frozen custard concretes (akin to Dairy Queen’s blizzard) — one that features seasonal pie from A La Mode Pies and another highlighting Theo Chocolate. If you check out the new Shake Shack, tag us on social media and tell us what you think!
Better than Drive-Thru Chicken Nuggets
School is back in session, which means so are those hectic weekday nights that are filled with grumpy children and parents alike. Typically, this is where we’d throw in the towel and get fast food, but these easy chicken nuggets are heaven! Plus, you can have them on the table in 30 minutes.
Bring on the Fair Food
Can you hear the angels singing? Let’s be honest: You go to the fair to experience the food, and we are thrilled that it’s that time of year again. There are so many greasy eats to enjoy, but here are a few that we’re very excited about.
Bacon! Bacon! Bacon!: OK, this one pretty much speaks for itself. Think chocolate-covered bacon, bacon wrapped dogs, and maple bacon donuts.
Duris Dole Whip: If a pineapple and soft serve had a baby, it would be a Dole Whip. These babies are so good, especially on a hot day.
Krusty Pup: C’mon, you think we’re going to go to the fair and not have a Krusty Pup? Get ’em with a side of curly fries!
Totally Fried: Have you ever tried a deep-fried Snickers? What about macaroni and cheese? If you can fry it, you can likely find it at Totally Fried.
Village Rooftop Bar: Half the fun of the fair is the people watching, and there’s no better spot than the rooftop bar. We were very impressed with the Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail made with Brown Sugar Bourbon.
