Something to Taco ‘Bout — a Pop-Up
Longtime colleagues chef Brendan McGill, owner of Bar Hitchcock on Bainbridge Island, and Anna Silva-Arroyo are linking up for a pop-up experience we’re very excited about. Every Tuesday from here on out, Bar Hitchcock will become Tacos Arroyo from 4 to 9 p.m. Silva-Arroyo is serving up tantalizing flavors, like slow-smoked pork and Neah Bay rockfish batter with Pacifico beer. Plus, who could turn down tortillas hand-made to order? McGill and Silva-Arroyo worked together in the early aughts of his Hitchcock Family Restaurant business, working at Hitchcock, Hitchcock Deli, and Bruciato. So, when she approached him for a taco pop-up, McGill said it was a no brainer.
“Her Mexico City-style street tacos are amazing.” McGill said. “We’d love to share her vision, talents, and hospitality in a brick-and-mortar space one day. So, just like we did with Bruciato, we’re starting with a pop-up.”

A Whiskey Dinner Collaboration
Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing and Pappy Van Winkle are teaming up to offer a tasting of exclusive samples from Pappy Van Winkle’s Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, along with a five-course menu to compliment the whiskeys.
