As the degrees continue to drop, the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau wanted to do their part to keep area youth safe this winter by encouraging local donors to spread the warmth.
Through the month of November, the bureau is conducting a blanket drive at its Lynnwood and Snohomish visitor centers, accepting new, twin-sized or larger blankets.
The blankets will be delivered to at-risk boys ages 8 to 18 who are served by the nonprofit Pioneer Human Services in its Lynnwood, Everett, and Marysville group home programs.
Blankets can be dropped off at these locations:
South Snohomish County Visitor Center
19921 Poplar Way in Lynwood’s Heritage Park
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday
East Snohomish County Visitor Center
1301 First Street in Historic Downtown Snohomish
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
