St. Thomas School (STS), a private school in Medina for preschool through eighth-grade students, has been recognized for the sixth year as a Microsoft Showcase School. When the Microsoft Showcase Schools were first established, STS was among the original five to receive the honor; now it’s one of 37 nationwide with the title.
As a Microsoft Showcase School, STS bears a responsibility to provide Eastside students with technological skillsets that will help them be successful down the road. This vision extends beyond STS students themselves: The school hosts and mentors other schools in the community to help others navigate how technology can positively impact and enhance a child’s education.
In the previous years that STS has earned the Microsoft Showcase School title, it has made connections across the globe with organizations like Rwanda Girls Initiative and Eisenhower Fellows.
Head of STS Kirk Wheeler described the title as “a recognition of the steadfast passion our teachers and staff have for creating the best learning environments possible.”
