Staff Picks for Favorite Road Trips

Birds-Eye View

We love a good road trip up to Anacortes. We drive through La Conner to see the tulips (when in bloom) on the way out and then stop at Gere-a-Deli for lunch for incredible sandwiches and desserts. Then we drive a few blocks up to Cap Sante Park for the full elevated 360-degree harbor and city views and hang, sit, and climb on the massive rocks. Also, there is no shortage of coffee stands on the way. — Jaurdey Samuel, senior account executive

The Road Less Traveled

I’m a fan of the trip up to Sunrise on Mount Rainier, then going around the back (or east side) of the mountain. There are some amazing views, and it seems less traveled. — Bob Cody, account executive

Here Comes the Sun

Anything over in Eastern Washington. My top spots are Sunland and Lake Roosevelt. The weather is so nice over there during the summer to go boating and learn new water sports (or attempt to learn, at least). — Nikki Christopherson, sales and marketing concierge

Will Travel for Loganberry Liqueur

Every summer, we take a family trip to Whidbey Island. The entire island is a treat, and the views can’t be beat. While there, we always try to make a stop at Whidbey Island Distillery to pick up a supply of their award-winning Loganberry Liqueur. — Melia Wilkinson, account executive

Golf and Goodies

We love Gearhart, Seaside, and we always allow a few extra days to keep exploring Cannon Beach and Tillamook in Oregon. I love the Pacific Way Bakery in Gearhart and playing at Gearhart Golf Links, Oregon’s oldest golf course. — Lander Martinson, director of sales

Camping in the Mountains

For the past few years, my husband and I have been taking weeklong camping trips. Last year, we camped near Mount Baker. We’ll take beautiful mountain views over sandy beaches any day. — Madison Miller, assistant editor
