SwiftWater Opens on the Eastside

SwiftWater Cellars opened its doors in Bellevue earlier this month with an extensive wine list and top-notch customer service.

Owners Don and Lori Watts thought about expanding their upscale restaurant after the success of their Cle Elum location, which is located at the picturesque Suncadia Resort — about one hour from Bellevue.

“Many of our customers have second homes in the Suncadia Resort and frequent the restaurant,” said Leena Haija, president of SwiftWater Cellars. “Over the years, they would encourage us to consider moving to the Eastside. We started noticing the growth in Bellevue, and began the hunt for the perfect location.”

It took just under one year for the idea of opening in Bellevue to become a reality. The new restaurant is located on Main Street right next to West Elm. The space brings a piece of Cle Elum to Bellevue, with a touch of modern flair. The location brings the rustic origins of SwiftWater Cellars into the heart of the city with big rafters and high ceilings, tobacco leather furniture, rich colors, steel accents, and natural wood throughout.

SwiftWater Cellars strongly values the guest experience and wants its visitors to feel as though they are walking into their own home every time they enter the establishment.

“Our number one goal every time any customer walks in the door is provide the best possible experience, from the initial greeting to the wine and food,” Haija said. “Without our customers we wouldn’t be in existence.”

Once seated, guests can peruse SwiftWater’s menu, which features a wide selection of mouthwatering dishes at different price points. The drink menu also is full of perfectly concocted sips, from SwiftWater’s Pear Pomegranate Spritzer to the Sparkling Blood Orange Margarita. In addition to beer and specialty cocktails, the drink menu features 15 wines unique to the restaurant as well, including their most-popular varietal, the Propriety Red.
