The Early Bird Gets the Holiday Boxes at the Barking Frog

Limited-edition Frog Boxes curated by Executive Chef Bobby Moore of the Barking Frog have been coveted at-home feasts over the last few months.

For the holiday season, Moore is sparing no detail.

The Holiday Ham Frog Box includes over 4 pounds of Jack Mountain hazelnut-smoked ham, duck leg confit plus a smoked duck breast, pappardelle pasta with truffle butter and shallots, seasonal chanterelle mushrooms, specialty sides and sauces, a chocolate peppermint bread pudding, and a bottle of 2015 Clos de Betz Red Wine. The meal, which costs $250, plus tax, is enough for a family of four.

Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. on Dec. 14. Pick-up is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Willows Lodge. (Note: The deadline to order the Holiday Ham Frog Box has been since this article was published extended to Dec. 20.)

For those craving fresh seafood to ring in the new year, there’s also the Seafood Frog Box, a family-sized feast including two Maine lobster tails, 1 pound of fresh Dungeness crab meat, 2 pounds of Alaskan King Crab legs, 1 pound of poached prawns, and a dozen Northwest oysters. This comes with the requisite dipping sauces plus caviar and a bottle of  Gaston Chiquet Blanc de Blancs de Aÿ Brut NV.

This box is priced at $300, plus tax; orders must be placed by 5 p.m. on Dec. 14. Pick-up for the Seafood Frog Box is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 31 at Willows Lodge.
