In June, Tulalip Resort Casino unveiled its newest dining venue, Tula Bene Pastaria + Chophouse, which joins the resort’s seven other onsite restaurants. As the name implies, Tula Bene highlights classic Italian culinary traditions. Chef Jeremy Taisey built the menu around carefully curated family-style plates meant to bring family and friends together.
A generous selection of appetizers includes a salumi antipasta platter, pancetta-wrapped prawns, and hand-stretched pizzetta made with local cheese and garlic oil. Freshly made pasta, such as the signature Cacio e Pepe made table side, or the tagliatelle with smoked oysters, is one of the menu’s must-haves. Double R Ranch prime steaks round out the “chophouse” portion of the restaurant. Other entrees include prosciutto-wrapped halibut and a half-roasted chicken with melted leeks and cremini mushrooms. Don’t forget dessert, where pastry chef Nikol Nakamura wields her Italian sweets wand in the form of budino with white chocolate; sweet pecorino cake with candied tomatoes, olive oil gelato, and candied basil; and a classic flourless chocolate torte with blood orange segments. tulalipresortcasino.com.
