The Watoto Children’s Choir is coming to cities throughout Washington, and now is your chance to see these inspiring children lift their voices in song. The choir combines contemporary gospel with traditional African rhythm and dance. Their current tour of the US showcases a performance called “Beautiful Africa: A New Generation.”
The Watoto Choir has traveled internationally as ambassadors for the millions of children in Africa who have been affected by HIV/AIDS, war and poverty. Each child in the choir has lost either one of both parents and now lives in the Watoto Children’s Villages, which were established to give these children a supportive environment to grow up in so they can in turn rebuild and contribute to their own nations as adults.
All performances are brought to communities throughout the area free of charge. They will be stopping to perform at Churches in Kent, Issaquah, Woodinville and several other cities in the area. Visit the Watoto Children’s Choir online schedule to know when they will be in each location.
